Gym hi-fi – Subwoofer arrives

If you’ve ever been to a commercial gym, you’ll know that banging dance music is the way forward and normally supplied by the owners of the gym. My experiences with subscription gyms spans both very good ones, and very bad ones. The good ones have someone within the organisation who appreciates good dance music and knows the kind of gear to buy to best blast it out on. Being married hadn’t helped either and too may half finished projects had either been thrown out or passed on to friends by Sally. Continue reading

Continue running (or start rowing??)

Well, it had finally happened to me. I was officially old and past it. After putting up with a dodgy knee for the past couple of years, it had got the better of me. Too many years running to and from work every day on tarmac surfaces had done untold damage to my knee and the cold weather was making life with a poorly knee pretty hard work. God, I really am sounding old. Continue reading
